Rich Swann defeats Willie Mack
Rich Swann beat Willie Mack with a Phoenix splash on Thursday night. This was a great match to open the show. We saw some back and forth action between the two friends. Willie Mack hit an incredible coast to coast during the match. Both men were impressive. Most weeks, Impact Wrestling has been opening with a pretty solid match. Tonight was no different.

We got a promo from Ohio Vs. Everything in Ohio. They called out Brian Cage and we are supposed to get a match at Rock Star Wrestling tonight for the X-Division Title.
The Desi Hit Squad (Rohit Raju and Rahj Singh) defeat The Beach Bums
Last week Rohit Raju faced a test from Gamma Singh and his son, Rahj Singh. Apparently, he passed the test and he’s got a new partner. Rahj Singh is a big guy and might be a good addition to this team. I’m not sure what Gamma Singh has done in the past to earn his reputation, but Don Callis and Josh Matthews certainly put him over. I’m guessing this is to help with their deals in India. Although, there was a slight Desi Hit Squad chant in the arena. This was your typical squash match to put over the newly formed team.
Vignette-a-mania
We got a few backstage video packages. We hear from the OGz. Since they can’t fight LAX, they are going after Konnan’s boys, Fenix and Pentagon Jr.

Impact Wrestling then shows us LAX in the bar. Konnan reminds LAX not to worry about King and focus on their match.
And then we get a recap package of Moose and Eddie Edwards. Impact has been sandwiching promos on either sides of commercial breaks a lot lately. This is not a great thing. It winds up feeling like a lot of promos back to back. Quite frankly, these video packages are not the best thing in Impact and should probably be limited.
More Backstage Segments
Speaking of video packages. We then cut to oVe appearing in Ohio. Out comes a guy that looks a lot like Brian Cage. Only thing is, he’s about 50 pounds lighter than the real Cage, as Callihan points out. Sami cuts a promo and then oVe proceed to take the fake machine out.
.@TheSamiCallihan just pinned "Brian Cage".
How do you think @MrGMSI_BCage feels about this charade? #IMPACTonPop pic.twitter.com/CiBhUyXMQJ

After a commercial, we then get Eli Drake and Joseph Park. As a result of getting put through a table by Abyss and La Parka trying to hit him with a chair, Eli’s suing Impact over unsafe working conditions. So, it makes sense he’d hire Joseph Park, right?
Time for some in-ring action. Nope. Seems like we’re never making it back to the ring. Rather than a match, we get Scarlett Bordeaux reminding us of her talent search. She tells the Hit Squad to send in a video.
