Yes, you read that right. La Parka picked up the win over Eli Drake by countout. After answering Drake’s open challenge, we had a nothing match that lasted all of two minutes. La Parka pull out his patented steel chair and Drake hit the bricks. He left the ring and apparently wanted no part of La Parka.
This felt a little bit odd to me. Of course, Eli Drake is a chicken-you-know-what heel, and this was definitely a heel move, but I think this was a little underwhelming.
Drake is a very talented performer and I think he needs to be entered into a real solid storyline going forward, rather than having these kind of matches.
I get the “he’s a heel” philosophy behind it though, and this could definitely add to his character going forward and turn into something positive.
