WWE has started a new trend where NXT stars make appearances on the main roster prior to getting called up as an audition of sorts.
The NXT talent who has been seen the most by the main roster audience throughout 2025 has to be Je’Von Evans.
At just 21 years old, new reports have indicated that WWE has big plans for Evans when he finally makes his official jump to Raw or SmackDown.
Here are seven potential Je’Von Evans WWE main roster call-up plans.
7. Answering The Open Challenge To Win The United States Championship From Ilja Dragunov

During Sami Zayn’s United States Championship reign, Je’Von Evans answered one of his open challenges on an episode of SmackDown in September.
In a strong showing, Evans showcased his skills and why many feel he will be the future of the company.
It would be Ilja Dragunov that would go on to dethrone Zayn and has since adopted his US Title Open Challenge.
“The Young OG” could once again answer the open challenge with this time being an even better effort from Evans to win the United States Championship and earn a permanent spot on SmackDown.
