WWE Raw live results – September 24, 2018 – WrestleTalk

04:12am

That was a mixed bag for Raw this week.

There were definitely bad spells – Brie knocking Liv Morgan out cold, Konnor beat Gable, for example.

The episode-long narrative of dissension between the two main factions was fun though, and made for an entertaining main event.

Thanks for following along with our live coverage of WWE Raw! See you next week!

Let us know what you thought of the show on Twitter or Discord!

04:10am

That was really, really fun.

Everything you’d have expected from that match. Some great brawling, heel tactics from Corbz and AoP, and chaos at the conclusion.

The Shield, of course, picked up the win with a Reigns Spear.

What’s more, Ambrose is still happy in the group, no cracks whatsoever.

The Shield vs. Braun, Dolph and Drew is set to go for Super Show-Down!.

03:48am

So… Braun, Drew and Dolph have just come onto the stage with steel chairs.

As you do.

They’re sitting at the top of the stage for this one.

I don’t know why they’d want to sit there when there’s far better places to sit.

Anyway, Shield vs. Corbin and AoP in the main event. This could be great.

03:46am

Corbin’s partners are…

Yeah, it’s AoP.

I hate predicting things right. It’s boring.

03:44am

Next week, Rousey vs. Riott and Lashley vs. Owens!

03:39am

A really long vignette plays hyping Triple H vs. Undertaker at Super Show-Down.

Up next it’s the main event.

The Shield vs. Baron Corbin and two partners of his choice.

I’m picking AoP.

03:29am

Nia wins. Wooo! (I don’t actually care.)

More teased dissension between the Shield/Drew and Dolph follows, and we still have the main event to come.

I’m genuinely interested to see who Corbin picks here. AoP maybe?

03:23am

Jax is against Alicia Fox.

Yay.

03:18am

With Dolph trying to get Dean to turn on the Shield, Seth has now taken it upon himself to try and talk Drew into splitting from Dolph.

Very interesting.

Nia Jax is in action next, her first singles match since returning last week.

03:15am

Pretty standard match with an intriguing finish.

The action spilled out to ringside, when Owens chased down Rush. The former accidentally ran into Lashley, forcing the ref to call a DQ.

Rush evades KO and Elias for a short while, before they eventually corner him and Lashley saves him once more. A fantastic pairing.

03:06am

Renee on Lio: “He can’t fight men this size.”

Me: “*Sighs*”

02:57am

Rush introduces Bobby Lashley, who is in his hometown of Denver, Colorado tonight.

Hearing Lashley actually getting a crowd reaction felt a bit weird. He’s up against Elias next.

02:54am

Owens’ guest on the KO Show tonight is Bobby Lashley’s ‘Manager of the Hour,’ Lio Rush!

02:50am

Owens is introduced by Elias. The pair will take on Bobby Lashley and John Cena at Super Show-Down on October 6.

Tonight, Lashley is scheduled to take on Elias one-on-one.

02:47am

Up next, the Kevin Owens Show!

02:43am

That was a very good match.

Both teams had their moments, Dawson especially standing out in that one.

The complexion changed when McIntyre reentered the bout, he cleaned house, and the champs retain with the Claymore/ZigZag combo.

Just to reiterate, a great match.

02:23am

Up next, Ziggler and McIntyre defend their Raw Tag Team Titles against the Revival!

Given time, this could be ace.

02:21am

Konnor just beat Gable.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What?

02:16am

Ziggler is trying to convince Ambrose to turn on the Shield again.

Hmm…

Up next, it’s Chad Gable vs. Konnor.

02:10am

Stephanie McMahon, Triple H, and the entire Raw roster gather to observe Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month, now in partnership with Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

You can donate now by clicking here.

01:55am

Ruby comes in off the blind tag, hits Nattie with a Superkick, followed by a Riott Kick, to pick up the win.

Thank God that thing’s over.

01:53am

Liv has now been taken away from ringside for treatment as this classic continues.

01:52am

Dear Lord.

01:46am

Brie just legitimately knocked Liv out with a Yes! Kick.

This isn’t funny anymore. She’s dangerous.

01:39am

Up next, it’s the one we’ve all been waiting for!

Natalya and the Bellas vs. the Riott Squad.

Strap yourselves in.

Seriously, strap yourselves in, that may be the only thing that prevents you from flinging yourself out the window during this match.

01:37am

Right then.

After a standard match, Bálor was looking for the Shotgun Dropkick, but was tripped by Sunil Singh before he could make it.

Bayley then tripped Jinder, leading to a fight between Fox, Sunil and Bayley, and then Bálor won with a roll-up.

We don’t see that every week.

And now they’re Shanti-ing in the ring.

I don’t know why I bother sometimes.

01:25am

Bayley just got a full entrance for Finn Bálor vs. Jinder Mahal but Jinder didn’t get one at all.

He was WWE Champion for six months in 2017. How times have changed.

01:19am

The banter grows to the point of Braun, Dolph and Drew storming down the ramp, much to the behest of Baron Corbin who needs to impress Steph tonight.

The Shield in action in a six-man tag for the first time in almost a year later tonight!

We’ve also got Drew & Dolph defending against the Revival, Lashley v Elias.

Up next, it’s Finn Bálor vs. Jinder Mahal, with their MMC partners Bayley and Alicia Fox thrown in, because why not, I guess.

01:14am

The ‘Dogs of War,’ if we’re still calling them that, try to convince Ambrose to leave the Shield and join their side.

Do you think Dean should split from the Shield?

01:12am

The Shield make their way to the ring to gloat about their championships, which was a bit awkward for poor Ambrose.

They call out the “world’s largest substitute teacher” Baron Corbin.

Corbin brings out the Shield’s Super Show-Down opponents, Braun Strowman and Raw Tag Champions McIntyre and Ziggler.

Remember Drew and Dolph are set to defend their titles tonight against the Revival. That one should be good!

01:04am

Raw opens with Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon pulling up in a limo, being greeted by Baron Corbin singing “Happy Birthday” (because it’s her birthday, I assume.)

Steph criticizes Corbin’s choice to put himself in a Universal Title match last week, and says he needs to find two tag team partners to take on the Shield in a six-man tag team match later tonight!

12:43am

Apparently we’re not getting Ruby Riott vs. Brie Bella any more.

We’re getting the Riott Squad vs. the Bellas and Natalya in a six-woman tag match instead.

Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin, a hero we don’t deserve.

I joke, because I have a feeling this isn’t going to be very good at all.

But, the optimist in me is saying maybe Ruby will be able to drag the others through it. I hope so anyway, or we’re gonna be in for a long night I think.

12:30am
