After losing the AEW World Title, it should be interesting what is going to happen next with Maxwell Jacob Friedman.

Considering there is less than six weeks until AEW All In London 2026, the company could have some compelling plans for MJF following this loss.

6. Rematch Against Kenny Omega For The AEW Redemption Pay-Per-View

After failing to beat him twice before, Kenny Omega has finally defeated MJF to become a two-time AEW World Champion on the July 8 Beach Break edition of AEW Dynamite.

Now that he is once again champion, ‘The Cleaner’ will have to deal with a very disgruntled Maxwell Jacob Friedman looking to win back his gold.

With AEW Redemption on the horizon on July 26, Omega and MJF could make for a tantalizing headliner for this huge show in Montreal, Quebec.

Omega and MJF headlining another pay-per-view after Dynasty earlier this year will put these two men as well as their rivalry front and center on the last major show before Wembley Stadium.

5. Number One Contender’s Match Against ‘The Jet’ Kevin Knight

Since the beginning of 2026, ‘The Jet’ Kevin Knight has been focused on the AEW World Championship.

Despite failing to beat MJF and Darby Allin in world title matches earlier this year, ‘The Jet’ is zeroed in on finally winning the top prize in All Elite Wrestling.

After challenging the winner of the Kenny Omega vs. MJF Beach Break main event, Knight could get his opportunity at the gold before AEW Redemption or might have to overcome the former champion.

At AEW Forbidden Door 2026, Will Ospreay defeated Swerve Strickland to win the Owen Hart Foundation men’s tournament final.

Since this win, Ospreay has crossed paths with MJF on several occasions in backstage scenarios.

This led to the July 8 Beach Break special where MJF spit in Ospreay’s face with the two men getting into an intense brawl backstage.

Following his involvement in the AEW World Title Match with Kenny Omega, Ospreay could be challenged by MJF for his All In London 2026 title shot at Redemption where both men go to war and finally settle the score.

3. Facing Swerve Strickland For The First Time In AEW

Over the past few years, there have been various teases between MJF and Swerve Strickland.

Whether it be in the ring or backstage, it seems like tensions are always high between MJF and Swerve whenever they cross paths.

Despite being in the ring during the four-way for the AEW World Title at Worlds End 2025, Swerve has never faced Maxwell Jacob Friedman in a singles match.

At AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2026, Team Briscoe defeated Team DCMJF in the Death’s Door 12-man tag team steel cage match.

This win for Team Briscoe came after Andrade El Idolo decided to turn on both MJF and the Don Callis Family.

Over the past few months, El Idolo and Maxwell Jacob Friedman have been at odds with one another with the three-time AEW World Champion denying ‘The Real Latin Man’ an opportunity at the top prize in All Elite Wrestling.

Now that he is not the champion anymore, MJF can finally grant Andrade the chance to face him one-on-one in what should be a highly anticipated first time ever clash at potentially AEW All In London 2026.

At AEW Revolution 2026, MJF defeated ‘Hangman’ Adam Page in a Texas Death Match to retain the AEW World Championship.

Thanks to this loss, Page can no longer challenge for the AEW World Title for as long as he lives according to a pre-match stipulation and agreement.

Since then, ‘Hangman’ has not been seen on AEW television over the past few months, but many fans feel like that will change on the road to All In London 2026.

‘Hangman’ returning should lead to him coming after MJF for revenge and denying him the chance to be champion again before squaring off in one final battle that feels worthy of Wembley Stadium.
