More AEW Stars To Sign Dual Contracts AEW

In the first few months of 2026, there have been several stars who have signed dual contracts with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and other promotions.

Whether it be Hechicero, Mascara Dorada and Persphone who have joined the AEW roster or AEW talent like Claudio Castagnoli and Thunder Rosa who have also signed with CMLL, these dual contracts have become an honor to many different names across the wrestling world.

Looking at the company’s roster, AEW could have even more stars who have what it takes to be next to sign a dual contract in the coming weeks and months.

Here are seven more AEW stars to potentially sign dual contracts.

7. Gabe Kidd

On the March 18 edition of AEW Dynamite, Darby Allin defeated Gabe Kidd in a Coffin Match to close the lid on their rivalry.

After being gone for several weeks, Kidd made his return to the wrestling world when he made a surprise appearance at NJPW Sakura Genesis to attack Yota Tsuji and challenge him for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.

Despite signing to All Elite Wrestling alongside The Dogs in March, Kidd never officially left New Japan Pro Wrestling and has even declared war on the promotion.

Kidd signing a dual contract with AEW and NJPW would show his loyalty to both companies and let the fans know that he will remain a part of the Japanese promotion for a little while longer.

6. Hikaru Shida

On the April 2 edition of AEW Collision, Hikaru Shida made her return to the company for the first time in nearly 18 months.

In a strong showing for the three-time AEW Women’s World Champion, Shida came up just short against Willow Nightingale in a TBS Championship match.

Being a decorated champion in AEW, Shida could be someone who can contribute to other promotions around the world.

Considering their relationship with All Elite Wrestling, Shida could also sign with STARDOM under a dual contract and start to make her mark on that company in her home country of Japan.

5. Nick Wayne

Nick Wayne recently made his return to All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor, but he will be away for some time soon.

At NJPW Sakura Genesis 2026, Wayne was announced as the latest participant in the upcoming Best of the Super Juniors tournament.

The reigning Ring of Honor World TV Champion is just 20 years old and feels like he is just scratching the surface of what he can accomplish in AEW and over in Japan.

NJPW signing Wayne to a dual contract would give him the chance to be spotlighted in that country and potentially become a top contender for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship.

4. Johnny TV

In 2026, Johnny TV started appearing in CMLL and has been part of one of the bigger rivalries in the company against Angel de Oro.

On the February 27 CMLL Super Viernes event, de Oro defeated Johnny Consejo in a Hair vs. Hair Match that saw the AEW star get his head shaved.

This bout was widely regarded as one of the best performances Johnny has had since signing with All Elite Wrestling in 2023.

Johnny TV signing a dual contract with AEW and CMLL would give him the opportunity to shine in Mexico where he might be better utilized than how he is used in Tony Khan‘s promotion.

3. JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey)

Since forming their tag team in 2025, JetSpeed have become one of the best and most popular duos in All Elite Wrestling.

Kevin Knight and ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey have showcased their chemistry together and that has translated to other promotions.

Most recently, JetSpeed joined their partner Mistico to defend the AEW World Trios Championship in CMLL.

JetSpeed signing dual contracts to make more regular appearances with CMLL would be interesting and allow them to shine in a bigger way on a global scale.

2. Bandido

Bandido has established himself as one of the very best wrestlers in the world today as a singles and tag team star.

Whether it be his singles exploits as the reigning ROH World Champion or in tag team action alongside Brody King, Bandido has shown why he has been widely considered an elite luchador for several years.

While he competes in both All Elite Wrestling and Ring of Honor, Bandido has also had a presence in CMLL on several occasions over the past year.

Bandido signing a dual contract with AEW and CMLL could put the luchador an even more massive presence in his home country of Mexico where he can deliver some tantalizing matches against the likes of Mascara Dorada, Templario and Neon.

1. Will Ospreay

At NJPW Sakura Genesis 2026, Will Ospreay made his in-ring return to the company for the first time in two years.

Rejoining The United Empire, Ospreay not only pulled out a victory in trios competition against Hontai, but he also stood in the corner of his protege Callum Newman as he went on to defeat Yota Tsuji to become the youngest IWGP Heavyweight Champion of all time.

With his ongoing story with Newman, Ospreay has made it clear that he plans to make even more appearances in New Japan Pro Wrestling moving forward.

Wanting to solidify his presence back in his former home, Ospreay could join Konosuke Takeshita as a dual contract star with AEW and NJPW that can reach the top in both promotions.
