More New WWE AAA Signings

Since acquiring Lucha Libre AAA, WWE has added a number of stars to the company whether through free agency or from its own roster.

Most recently, AAA welcomed in former CMLL star La Catalina, who has immediately positioned herself as a contender for Flammer’s Reina de Reinas Championship.

Looking at the current AAA roster, there is still room to grow and add more talent that could garner a great deal of the spotlight in the promotion in the near future.

Here are six more new potential WWE AAA signings.

6. Santi Rivera

On WWE Evolve, the brand has welcomed in a number of new stars as of late with the ID talent taking center stage.

Among the new stars introduced to the brand, Santi Rivera has been someone who has caught some eyes.

With his impressive physique and notable look, Rivera has felt like someone who can be a star in WWE down the line.

Through the ID program, Rivera might be able to embrace his hispanic culture by being signed by AAA where he can shine even more than he has in his first few weeks on Evolve.

5. Julissa Mexa

Back in 2021, Julissa Mexa signed with WWE and became Yulisa Leon on the NXT brand.

Over two years with the promotion, Mexa made a name for herself, even appearing on Friday Night SmackDown at one point.

After being released in 2023, Mexa has made her way to the independent scene, most notably in Mexico for The Crash Lucha Libre promotion.

Winning The Crash Women’s Championship, Mexa could once again get back under the WWE banner, but this time for Lucha Libre AAA where she would help to rebuild the women’s scene.

4. Gianna Capri

One of WWE’s newest signees under the ID program is the former Valentina Rossi.

Now known as Gianna Capri, the WWE ID star recently made her debut on the Evolve brand.

Capri has shown a great deal of confidence and charisma throughout her time on the independent scene.

While she is making a name for herself in Evolve, Capri could become the latest ID talent to make the move to Lucha Libre AA and further flesh out the women’s scene right now.

3. Chazz ‘Starboy’ Hall

Another WWE ID star who has been making an immediate impact wherever he appears is Chazz ‘Starboy’ Hall.

In his first appearance on WWE Evolve, the former Starboy Charlie became the number one contender for the Evolve Men’s Championship.

Despite coming up short against Aaron Rourke in his eventual title shot, Hall then made his way to WWE NXT and impressed everyone with a strong showing against Lexis King in a Speed Championship Tournament bout.

With all of his experience across the independent scene in promotions like GCW, DEFY and West Coast Pro, ‘Starboy’ is more than deserving of following in the footsteps of other WWE ID talent like Jack Cartwheel in heading to Lucha Libre AAA soon.

2. Soberano Jr.

When looking at Lucha Libre AAA’s biggest competition in CMLL, Soberano Jr. has to be among the most popular stars in Mexico today.

For over 15 years, Soberano has made his presence felt as one of the biggest stars in CMLL.

The former CMLL World Middleweight Champion has been speculated to potentially leave the promotion when his contract expires.

WWE and Lucha Libre AAA would be hard-pressed to find a more decorated and popular star to add to their roster right now than Soberano, making him someone that should be highly sought after when he becomes available.

1. Persephone

Another CMLL name that has been speculated as having interest from WWE is Persephone.

Considered one of the fastest rising stars in wrestling today, Persephone has reached the mountaintop of the women’s scene in Mexico as the reigning CMLL Women’s World Champion.

With victories over the likes of Mercedes Mone, Thekla and Tessa Blanchard, Persephone has more than made it clear that she deserves to be mentioned among the best women’s wrestlers in the world today.

At just 24 years old, Persephone should be a high priority for WWE AAA if she becomes available and look to rekindle her career-long rivalry with La Catalina in a new promotion.
