At WWE SummerSlam 2026 night one, Oba Femi defeated Brock Lesnar in a Hell In A Cell match.

Then on August 4, Lesnar announced that he was retiring from in-ring competition after 25 years in the pro wrestling business.

Looking at the WWE roster, there are several stars who could be closing out their in-ring careers in the coming years.

Here are eight more WWE stars to potentially retire after Brock Lesnar.

8. Rey Mysterio

Starting his career in the 1990s, Rey Mysterio revolutionized lucha libre wrestling, bringing it to the United States with WCW.

The masked luchador used his athleticism and agility to become a legendary high flyer and cruiserweight wrestler.

Over the course of his over 30-year run in the business, Mysterio has earned the moniker of greatest luchador of all time from some and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2023.

At 51 years old, Mysterio could be winding down his time inside the squared circle and may just follow in the footsteps of Brock Lesnar before long.

7. R-Truth

Another WWE star who seems closer to the end of his career than the beginning in the company right now is R-Truth.

At 54 years old, Truth is still going strong and entertaining crowds all around the world despite almost leaving WWE in 2025.

After re-signing with the promotion, Truth has been showing why he is one of the beloved stars on the roster by winning the WWE Tag Team Championships alongside Damian Priest this year.

Truth retiring in the next year or two would make a ton of sense considering everything he has accomplished in the industry over the course of the past 30 years.

At WWE Backlash 2026, IYO SKY defeated Asuka. After this loss, Asuka decided to take some time off from the company.

Since signing with WWE in 2015, ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’ established her legacy as one of the greatest women’s wrestlers to step foot in the company.

The multi-time WWE Women’s Champion has done a great job of etching her name in the record books as an all-time great.

Considering her time with WWE could be coming to an end, Asuka could be on her way back for one last run before hanging up her boots for good.

5. Randy Orton

Another current WWE star who could be winding down their time in the ring is Randy Orton.

‘The Legend Killer’ has firmly cemented himself among the all-time great stars in the history of WWE.

Over the course of the past 25 years, Orton is a 14-time WWE World Champion, former Intercontinental Champion, Mr Money In The Bank and two-time Royal Rumble winner.

Looking at his resume, there is no question that Orton should find himself among the elite who are in the WWE Hall of Fame whenever he is ready to retire.

4. Becky Lynch

On the August 3 episode of Monday Night Raw, Becky Lynch made her return to WWE TV for the first time in over two months.

‘The Man’ remains one of the biggest names on the WWE roster today and a living legend who has set records for the company.

After re-signing with WWE in 2025 upon her return to the company, Lynch has stated that she believes this may be her last contract with the promotion.

Considering her long list of accolades, Becky Lynch can retire knowing that she has had one of the best careers of any female star to ever step foot in WWE.

3. Seth Rollins

Speaking of Becky Lynch, her husband Seth Rollins is another WWE star who has assembled a Hall of Fame career.

‘The Visionary’ currently finds himself among the biggest stars in WWE today as a multi-time world champion and one of the best in-ring performers.

Over the years, Rollins has also struggled with a multitude of injuries that might make his remaining time in the squared circle limited.

Rollins closing out his career feels like something that should be treated as a big deal and worthy of the retirement tour treatment.

2. CM Punk

CM Punk made his return to WWE after nearly a decade when he came back at the Survivor Series premium live event in 2023.

Since then, Punk has reestablished himself as a top star and is one of the most featured names on the WWE roster today.

At 47 years old, Punk has more years behind him than ahead of him and could be spending his remaining time in the ring as one of the biggest stars in the industry.

With eight world titles and countless unforgettable moments to his name, Punk hanging up the boots before good should see him honored with tributes and a Hall of Fame induction soon after.

From his historic 1,316-day Undisputed WWE Universal Championship run to the litany of classic matches under his belt, Reigns has made sure his name will be spoken about among the all-time greats in the business.

With everything he has done to help the company grow, Reigns getting the retirement tour treatment feels like a must and will see one of the GOATs close out his iconic career.
