Sami Zayn has finally received justice for his first, nine day Undisputed WWE Title reign, by defeating CM Punk on the Friday, September 11 episode of SmackDown.

Sami’s win turns the chaotic SmackDown main event picture on its head once again, but there may soon be more changes afoot for other championships across WWE.

Here are three more WWE titles which could potentially change hands soon.

Tiffany Stratton Defeats Chelsea Green For Interim WWE Women’s Championship

Another championship match fans in Mexico City were treated to on SmackDown was Chelsea Green defending her Interim WWE Women’s Title against Nia Jax.

Despite still being banged up with her broken orbital bone injury, Green managed to survive the match and rack up her first successful title defense in the process.

With no clear and obvious next challenger waiting in the wings, Green may find her next adversary comes from her own corner: Tiffany Stratton. Stratton and Green have struck up quite the friendship over the past three months, but it’s hard not to notice how much that friendship has been detrimental for Tiffany’s career and physical health.

Week after week, Stratton has taken physical punishment trying to protect Green, and at the beginning of August, Stratton also lost her WWE Women’s United States Title to Jacy Jayne because of an attempt to protect her injured friend. Something will have to give eventually, so expect Stratton to turn her back on Green and come gunning for the WWE Women’s Title once again.

Alpha Academy Dethrone The Vision For WWE World Tag Team Titles

Not for the first time in recent history, the WWE World Tag Team Championships the titles have now gone undefended for over two months.

Currently held by The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Austin Theory, the titles’ lack of defenses is puzzling considering that the champions have had an ongoing feud with a tag team: Alpha Academy throughout the entirety of their reign.

Granted, Otis was ruled out of action for about a month, but still, there’s no excuse for this drought. Now that Otis is back in the mix, hopefully WWE do the right thing and give he and Akira Tozawa a shot at the gold.

With Oba Femi out for revenge on The Vision, ‘The Ruler’ could play a major part in ensuring the titles change hands at long last. Here’s hoping if Alpha Academy do win the gold, WWE will actually book them to defend the titles, unlike many of the heel teams that have held the gold over the past few years.

LA Knight Defeats Roman Reigns For WWE World Heavyweight Championship

This Monday on Raw (September 14), Roman Reigns will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Penta in Mexico City.

As much as many are hoping WWE do something truly shocking and put the title on Penta, it seems unlikely, especially as there are so many still gunning for their own shot at ‘The OTC.’

At the very front of that queue has to be ‘The Megastar’ LA Knight, who seems like the frontrunner to potentially challenge for the gold at Money in the Bank on October 10.

It may be wishful thinking, but LA Knight’s time feels like it should be now. Sure, he can lose and bounce back just fine, but it feels like this loss would be a little harder to come back from for many fans. There’s only so many times WWE can tease pulling the trigger on Knight and not do it after all.
