AEW/WWE
AEW has put a greater focus on tag team wrestling throughout 2025, with both the men’s and women’s divisions seeing the benefits.
The men’s tag team scene has delivered some of the best matches of the entire year with the likes of FTR, The Young Bucks and Brodido being standouts from the promotion.
Looking to further establish the company as being specialists in all tag team wrestling, the company has also introduced AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships with a tournament deciding the first ever titleholders.
When looking at the free agency market, here are seven new AEW tag team signings to potentially debut soon.
7. The Righteous (Vincent & Dutch)

The Righteous signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2023 and had a two-year run where they became regulars on Ring of Honor television.
However, the duo decided to request and were granted their release from AEW, becoming free agents in May 2025.
Vincent and Dutch have unique and eccentric characters that always find a way to stand out from the pack regardless of the promotion they are in.
After several months on the free agency market, The Righteous and AEW might decide to give it another go where the company should have a better plan to feature this unconventional tandem.
