AEW/ROH
The AEW women’s tag team division is still in its infancy with the titles being created at the end of 2025.
Coming out of AEW All In London 2026, The Brawling Birds are the current AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions.
With the likes of Divine Dominion and Sisters of Sin as top contenders, there is room for All Elite Wrestling to add some new duos to the scene moving forward.
Here are six new potential AEW women’s tag teams.
6. Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. & Persephone

On the AEW All In London 2026 Buy In, Persephone defeated Maya World to win the TBS Championship.
This victory came as a result of the returning Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. helping Perse get the win.
Now coming out of Wembley Stadium, Baker and Persephone have become the new alliance that fans are trying to learn more about.
This could lead to Persephone adding yet another title to her collection by teaming with Baker for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships.
5. Zayda Steel & Red Velvet
Over on Ring of Honor, there are quite a few interesting pairings in the women’s division that could emerge on AEW TV.
Zayda Steel has formed a partnership with Red Velvet with the two young stars working together quite well.
While Velvet is the current ROH Women’s World TV Champion, she could make her way to AEW full-time through this pairing.
Velvet and Steel coming to AEW TV could lead to becoming a more cohesive tag team that might make a significant impact on the division moving forward.
4. Mina Shirakawa & Queen Aminata

Another pair of AEW stars who have been teaming with one another in Ring of Honor are Mina Shirakawa and Queen Aminata.
After “Timeless” Toni Storm was taken out of action, Shirakawa has been on her own until she started teaming with Aminata.
The two women have made an impressive pairing with Shirakawa and Aminata being undefeated in tag team competition on ROH TV.
Aminata and Shirakawa bringing their duo to AEW TV would be interesting to see if they can continue this success there.
3. Kris Statlander & Harley Cameron
On the AEW All In London 2026 Buy In, Kris Statlander and Harley Cameron defeated Sisters of Sin.
Statlander and Cameron have been friends for a number of years and now seem to be starting a tag team together.
Following Statlander’s loss of the AEW Women’s World Championship earlier this year, “The Cosmic Killer” could find herself back into title contention in tag team action.
Considering Harley was one half of the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions with Willow Nightingale, Cameron could become the first two-time titleholder for the gold by teaming with Statlander to become champion again.
2. Isla Dawn & Kay Lee Ray

Isla Dawn has been competing on AEW and Ring of Honor television over the past year.
Following her run in WWE, Dawn has been trying to prove herself in All Elite Wrestling.
On April 24, WWE had its latest round of talent cuts with over 24 wrestlers being released, including Alba Fyre.
Now known as Kay Lee Ray once again, the former WWE star could arrive in AEW to reunite with Isla Dawn to become a force in the tag team division in a similar fashion that they did in their previous home.
1. Mercedes Monè & Athena
During the inaugural AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament, Mercedes Monè formed a tentative alliance with Athena.
Although they failed to win in the first round of the tournament, “The CEO” and “The Fallen Goddess” have sporadically teamed with one another over the past year.
Becoming a formal partnership, Mercedes could open the door for a full-time run for Athena on AEW TV.
The “Forever” Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion becoming the number one ally to the new AEW Women’s World Champion could become an unstoppable force as a unit and potentially the next Women’s World Tag Team Champions together.
