Next Holder Of Every WWE NXT Championship

WWE NXT Heatwave took place this past weekend, with the show seeing a number of major title changes.

Coming out of the show, the only champions still holding the titles they held before the show are Zaria, and even she unified the title with the Women’s Speed Championship, and Lexis King, who didn’t defend the Speed Championship on the show.

With new faces at the top of NXT, it’s time to look into the future and see who would be next in line to reign as champion.

Here is our prediction for the next holder of every current WWE NXT Championship.

WWE Speed Championship – Jackson Drake

At NXT Heatwave, the Women’s Speed Championship was officially retired, when Zara defeated Wren Sinclair and Kali Armstrong to unify the title with her Women’s North American Championship.

With the Women’s Speed Title now retired, it only seems inevitable that the Men’s Speed Championship will follow, especially since the women’s roster has a lot more depth than the men’s.

Technically the final Speed Champion would be Jackson Drake in that scenario.

NXT Tag Team Championship – Sean Legacy & Dorian Van Dux

The Vanity Project regained the NXT Tag Team Championship at Heatwave with them now reigning as two-time NXT Tag Team Champions.

NXT is currently in something of a rebuild phase with it’s tag team division after many teams left NXT for the main roster, with the new alliances all n the early stages of their partnership.

Of the new teams that formed, the ones that have stood out the most thus far would be Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux, who have looked impressive together in their tag team outings.

DVD and Legacy have what it takes to become to the tag division what Fraxiom were if given the right opportunity.

Women’s North American Championship – Lizzy Rain

While she hasn’t been featured as heavily over the past few weeks, Lizzy Rain is a free agent signing that arrived in NXT with a lot of fanfare.

She has already faced off against Zaria during Zaria’s quest to become North American Champion, but issues between them remain unresolved.

Of the babyface options on the table, Lizzy seems to be the one that makes the most sense.

North American Championship – Mason Rook

Another British star who came into NXT with a lot of fanfare, Mason Rook has been praised by John Cena, who has gone on record to endorse him.

Rook debuted by sniffing around the NXT Championship picture, though he has since found himself in the midcard, currently feuding with Kam Hendrix.

Though Rook could definitely be a key player in the future, a North American Championship reign could be just what he needs.

NXT Women’s Championship – Kendal Grey

Kendal Grey lost the NXT Women’s Championship to Kelani Jordan at NXT Heatwave in a result that surprised some.

Kendal’s crowning moment only happened back at Great American Bash, so some fans have been speculating that she could be headed to the main roster.

However, it more seemed like just an opportunity for Kelani to get a victory and run with the belt before dropping back to Kendal soon in my eyes, potentially at Halloween Havoc.

NXT Championship – Cruz Montana

After being stagnant for a while, the men’s main event scene in NXT is now packed full of potential champions.

Grayson Waller was the one able to capture the title at Heatwave, finally winning the title after five years in WWE.

While Zilla Fatu is the one most would assume is next up for the throne, he’s actually pretty likely to be on the main roster before the end of the year, so the title may end up passing him by.

Cruz Montana is the man most primed and ready to lead the NXT men’s division, and should be the one to dethrone Waller.
