WWE
On the January 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre in a Three Stages of Hell match.
Whoever walks out with the gold has a litany of potential challengers waiting for them coming off the heels of this bout.
Considering how long Rhodes and McIntyre have been feuding, it will be refreshing to see some new challengers in the main event picture and becoming a contender for the top prize on the SmackDown brand.
Here are ten potential next Undisputed WWE Championship challengers.
10. Randy Orton

Over the past two years, fans have seen Randy Orton fighting side by side with Cody Rhodes against the likes of The Bloodline, The Vision and Kevin Owens.
However, Orton recently made his return to Friday Night SmackDown on the January 2 episode after a few months away from television.
After laying out The Miz with a RKO, Orton met up with his friend Rhodes and let it be known that he intends on challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
It would make a ton of sense if Orton came out and issued his official challenge for the gold following the Three Stages of Hell Match between Rhodes and Drew McIntyre on the January 9 SmackDown.
