The long-rumoured return of the all-women’s premium live event, WWE Evolution, was finally confirmed at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Announced for Sunday, July 13, this will mark the second edition of the event – the first taking place back in 2018.
That critically acclaimed debut show featured Nikki Bella vs. Ronda Rousey in the main event, a classic Last Woman Standing match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, and a standout bout between Toni Storm and IYO SKY.
Here are the matches that could make this year’s card – the big question is, can they top the original?
7. Becky Lynch vs. Bayley
Bayley remains absent from WWE programming after being pulled from the WrestleMania 41 card, following a backstage attack by a mystery assailant – later revealed to be Becky Lynch.
Lynch’s continued verbal attacks against Bayley on Raw suggest her return is imminent, with their long-running on-and-off rivalry ready to recommence.
However, Lynch still has unfinished business with Lyra Valkyria, who recently cost her a spot in the Money in the Bank ladder match – setting up a final one-on-one bout at the PLE, where Bayley could make her big return.
That return could lead to a bout with Lynch at Evolution – and what would be more fitting than a Last Woman Standing match?
