The WWE vs AEW rivalry has been a topic of conversation today after some comments made by WWE President Nick Khan.

The idea of the two companies working together for a show seems just about impossible, but there’s no denying it would be a card full of some ultimate dream matches.

Here are some predicted matches for a potential WWE vs AEW crossover show.

CM Punk vs. Swerve Strickland

While the pair did participate in a multi-man match against one another in AEW, this duo never truly tangled in a solo feud.

Punk told a compelling emotional story in AEW with MJF – something that would be easy enough to re-visit – but instead, it would be intriguing to see something new.

With Swerve Strickland going on to hold the mantle of AEW in some ways since CM Punk’s departure, the pair could tell a really compelling story about Punk’s time in the company without the direct emotional baggage.

Swerve has commented that his interactions with Punk were always positive albeit brief during their time together in AEW – perhaps making him the perfect person to face off against.
