AEW’s Andrade El Idolo made a name for himself in NJPW as IWGP Intercontinental Champion, but his past in CMLL is where this dream match will come from.
During a crucial point in their career of NJPW’s Tetsuya Naito, the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion went on excursion to Mexico and found himself joining Andrade in the Los Ingobernables stable.
Andrade, then known as La Sombra, taught Naito how to “tranquilo”, which the NJPW star used when he returned to Japan a new man and formed his own offshoot, Los Ingobernables de Japon.
These two men could use their history to form a compelling story inside the squared circle.
They obviously know each other very well, but this bout would answer who is truly the leader of Los Ingobernables once and for all.
