WWE/TNA Wrestling
Over the past several years, there have been a number of released WWE stars who made their way to TNA Wrestling.
From Nic Nemeth and Mustafa Ali to AJ Francis and Lei Ying Lee, these WWE names have added a great deal to the TNA roster.
There have been multiple talent cuts from the WWE roster in 2026 and could lead to these stars following in the footsteps of these current TNA competitors.
Here are seven released WWE stars to potentially join TNA Wrestling.
7. The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley)
Prior to signing with WWE in 2024, The Motor City Machine Guns made their legacy in TNA Wrestling.
Widely regarded as the best TNA tag team in company history, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley came together as singles stars to form one of the most influential and impactful duos of their generation.
Considering their history with the promotion, it would make sense for TNA to open the door for The Motor City Machine Guns to make their return.
Now that they are free agents, MCMG could be a key acquisition for any promotion looking to bolster their tag team division like TNA.
6. Zoey Serrano (Zoey Stark)

Zoey Stark suffered a serious knee injury during her last WWE match on the May 19, 2025 episode of Raw.
On April 24, it was revealed that WWE had released over 24 wrestlers in their latest round of mass talent cuts.
One of the more notable names from this round of releases was Zoey Stark, who had been away from WWE due to suffering a serious leg injury in the ring.
Now that she is on the free agency market, it would make sense for Stark, now known as Zoey Serrano, to head to a promotion like TNA Wrestling.
With her history with several of the ladies in the company, Serrano could once again become a prominent star in TNA moving forward.
5. Dexter Lumis
When it comes to surprising names who were released from WWE in 2026, the entire Wyatt Sicks stable being let go was certainly a move few saw coming.
Prior to signing with WWE, Lumis was a standout on the TNA Wrestling roster after arriving as Samuel Shaw.
Considering his history in TNA and with stars like Indi Hartwell, Lumis could be a major signing for TNA where his eccentric personality might mesh well with the litany of talent in the company.
Perhaps adopting a character that taps into his history in TNA and WWE, we could see Samuel Shaw return to the company.
4. Jeff Cobb (JC Mateo)

Jeff Cobb (JC Mateo)’s WWE main roster career lasted only a year after his debut at Backlash 2025
Following the first round of talent cuts from the company, WWE was at it again on May 2 when the promotion announced the departure of several other names.
After just a year with the company, JC Mateo was let go by WWE and now is back on the free agency market.
While most think he will return to New Japan Pro Wrestling, Cobb could find a way to make a move to TNA Wrestling and become a highlighted star.
Considering his size, strength and experience, Cobb may just walk into TNA Wrestling and become a main contender for the Knockouts World Championship before long.
3. Bo Dallas
After returning to WWE to create The Wyatt SIcks faction, Bo Dallas looked set to pick up the legacy of his brother Bray Wyatt.
Dallas has showcased his veteran status and what he has to offer in the past, but this run saw him being featured more as a character and talker on WWE TV.
With what the company values in stars nowadays, Dallas could come in and play a pivotal role in the men’s division in TNA Wrestling long term.
The former NXT Champion might be able to become a main event level talent in TNA and become a contender for championship gold moving forward.
2. Charlie (Dakota Kai)

Charlie wrestled her first match in almost a year at Pro Wrestling EVE’s Wrestle Queendom VIII in March 2026
In 2025, there was arguably no WWE release that shocked fans more than Dakota Kai.
After becoming a free agent, Kai stayed away from the wrestling world for a little while before making her return at the start of 2026.
Showing off no ring rust, Kai, now known as Charlie, might just be ready to sign with a major promotion.
Charlie coming into TNA to face the likes of Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside and Indi Hartwell would be interesting and add another established name into their Knockouts division.
1. Aleister Black & Zelina Vega

Aleister Black & Zelina first aligned on WWE TV on the October 17 episode of SmackDown
To the surprise of many fans, Aleister Black and Zelina were among the names that were released from WWE in April.
After re-signing with WWE in 2025, Black looked to be getting featured consistently and was coming off key victories over top talent, such as Randy Orton and Sami Zayn.
Alongside Black, Zelina Vega always felt like someone who was never quite utilized in the right way in either one of her runs with WWE.
Black and Zelina signing with TNA Wrestling should immediately thrust them into the spotlight and become among the biggest stars in the entire promotion.
