Shock Brock Lesnar WrestleMania 39 Opponent, Gimmick Change For Raw Star

Shock Brock Lesnar WrestleMania 39 Opponent, Gimmick Change For Raw Star WWE

A look at a potential shock opponent for Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 39, as well as an upcoming gimmick change for a WWE Raw star.

Two big topics coming out of Raw last night, so let’s take a look at them…

Brock Lesnar Shock WrestleMania 39 Opponent?

When Bobby Lashley eliminated Brock Lesnar from the Royal Rumble match, that seemed to be all the confirmation we needed that Lashley vs Lesnar was what WWE had in mind for WrestleMania, but hold your horses because that might not be the case.

Dave Meltzer has reported that Lesnar is scheduled for a match at the Elimination Chamber event on February 18.

Obviously that doesn’t have to be where he faces Lashley, but there’s another huge clue that does point in that direction.

WWE has announced this year’s men’s Elimination Chamber will be for Austin Theory’s United States Championship – so far, those in the match are Theory himself, Seth Rollins, Johnny Gargano, Bronson Reed, with two more qualifiers set for next week as Angelo Dawkins vs Damian Priest, and Elias vs Montez Ford.

Bobby Lashley spears Brock Lesnar through the barricade

Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar are tied 1-1 after matches at Royal Rumble and Crown Jewel in 2022

That means, despite being embroiled in the US Title scene for months, there’s no Lashley involved… which means… he seems to be freed up for aforementioned match with Lesnar.

Obviously it isn’t impossible that there’s a stunt next week and Lashley somehow gets into the Elimination Chamber, but just going by what’s been announced so far, that isn’t the case.

So if we’re getting Lashley vs Lesnar at the Chamber… surely we won’t be getting it again at WrestleMania, right? So then the question is, what DO they do at WrestleMania?

With Lesnar, the most popular choice would probably be GUNTHER, especially after WWE whetted our appetites for that one with their faceoff at Royal Rumble.

We also know there was an offer made to Stone Cold Steve Austin for a match with Lesnar, but all signs point to Austin having rejected that.

But either way, if it’s not Lashley, it looks to be someone unexpected.

As for Lashley… it’s a bit of a mystery. Especially if we’re getting the expected Seth Rollins vs Logan Paul match, and less-expected-but-still-somewhat-expected Austin Theory vs John Cena match, as Rollins and Theory are the guys Lashley has been in the mix with on Raw.

Gimmick Change Teased On WWE Raw

Paul Levesque (Triple H) has shown that he isn’t scared of giving WWE talent a makeover – and, so far, they’ve usually ended up better than they were before.

Following last night’s Raw, it seems that one man who might be next in line to get a makeover, literally, is Otis.

Otis and Chad Gable were backstage when they encountered the Maximum Male Models who have now moved from SmackDown to Raw – the team of ma.çé and mån.sôör, guided by Maxxine Dupri.

ma.çé and mån.sôör were horrified at the sight of Otis, but Maxxine wasn’t, and she even went as far as calling him “perfect”.

Yes, you are reading this correctly, it sure sounds like we’re getting Maximum Male Model Otis.

Otis has been great in the Alpha Academy for the past couple of years, but we also know he can be GREAT in a position like this (think back to the Mandy Rose storyline).

I’m always going to be in favor of anything that gets Otis on TV and gives him something meaningful to do, and if we get THAT Otis back, I might just throw a party.

Even if it just ends up being a set up for a tag match, hopefully the road we take to get there will be a fun one.
