Six Potential Opponents If Sasha Banks Wins At SummerSlam

Six Potential Opponents If Sasha Banks Wins At SummerSlam

Sasha Banks beat Asuka for the Raw Women’s Championship at the end of last month and is ready for her rematch with the ‘Empress of Tomorrow’ at SummerSlam.

Alongside this, Asuka will be challenging Banks’ best friend, Bayley, for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

There are plenty of scenarios that can happen here. Will the ‘Golden Role-Model’s’ still hold all the gold together? Can Asuka gain a Championship or two? Finally, will Bayley and Sasha Banks turn on each other leading to their expected feud?

The number of curves WWE can throw in here makes this feud very intriguing and means these set of matches should be some of the best on the card. After this, Banks and Bayley will have to defend their Women’s Tag Team Titles at Payback. Then… who knows?

If Sasha Banks remains Raw Women’s Championship, what can she bring to the division that Asuka cannot? Let’s discuss ‘Six Potential Opponents If Sasha Banks Wins At SummerSlam’:

6. Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler had a pretty good match with Sasha Banks on the August 3 edition of RAW, however, it was cut short by shenanigans from Asuka. They proved in the space of these few minutes that a PPV match between the two would be fantastic.

Baszler has also stated that she would definitely be next in line for whoever wins at SummerSlam, so it feels guaranteed that we will see Baszler in a marquee match next month.

Last time the ‘Queen of Spades’ challenged for the title was when she was defeated by Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36. This was apparently due to Vince McMahon losing faith in the former NXT Champion.

Let’s hope that her MMA style on Raw Underground and having Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke by her side again will elevate her to the top of the card where she belongs.

Baszler vs. Banks would be an interesting dynamic with both being dangerous heels, however, in this feud, Baszler should go for a tweener role. She isn’t in it for the fans but in it to destroy the snarky, Sasha Banks, to the pleasure of the virtual crowd.

5. Nia Jax

Nia Jax has the power to be the most dominant woman on the roster but her booking has made her a whiney heel who hurts people when things don’t go her way.

Currently, Jax has been ‘indefinitely suspended’ from putting her hands on a referee during her collision with Shayna Baszler. When that ends, she should be the obstacle in Banks’ way of keeping the Raw Women’s Championship.

Jax and Banks have had a feud before with Banks handing the ‘Irresistible Force’ her first main roster defeat at Fastlane 2017. This history may haunt Jax. ‘The Boss’ is the one person that has her number. Therefore, the championship match writes itself.

4. Mickie James

Mickie James had her returning match on a recent Raw when she lost via count-out against Natalya. This match was more done to be a filler for the important confrontation between Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe to happen at the side. James has made it clear, she is disappointed with this return.

James can still go with the best of them and a legit Raw Women’s Championship match against Sasha Banks could be good if Mickie James gets booked further than just being a nostalgic act.

She doesn’t have to win but a decent match with ‘The Boss’ can go towards a remarkable retirement story for what is considered a legendary career.
