Six Potential Opponents If “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt Wins At SummerSlam

3. Otis

With Otis holding the Money in the Bank briefcase and the potential recapturing of the Universal Title for Bray Wyatt, we could see a rivalry between the two soon.

This would be another interesting one as they have no history between each other. Otis could be the fly that doesn’t stop buzzing in “The Fiend’s” face. I can imagine Wyatt demanding that he doesn’t want to hurt Otis, but Otis keeps chasing him in the hunt for Universal Gold.

This could then get personal if Wyatt snaps and kidnaps Mandy Rose. The drama would be insane! I’ve booked myself into a corner now that if this doesn’t happen I won’t be happy.

2. Big E

With Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston on the shelf, Big E is left alone to fight on New Day’s behalf.

WWE seems to be high on a Big E push as he is getting plenty of TV time and big wins against The Miz and John Morrison. He even gave an inspirational speech after RETRIBUTION’s invasion on last week’s SmackDown, proving he is a lockerroom leader.

If Big E wants to prove he’s the leader he can be, then challenging for the Universal Title is a must. He only has a few weeks before Kingston is expected to return so he needs a rocket strapped to him in the meantime.

If “The Fiend” wins at SummerSlam, then this match should happen at a show like Payback. Big E has yet to challenge for a world title in WWE but now is as good a time as any to get his first shot. The Fiend will need new challengers if he wins so why not someone brand new to the main event scene?

Big E has already said that he doesn’t want to see the New Day break up so we don’t know if he will be getting many chances at singles gold once Kingston and Woods return.

1. Roman Reigns

Finally, if there is one man that should challenge “The Fiend” for the Universal Championship (and beat him) it should be Roman Reigns.

The ‘Big Dog’ has been of television since being removed from his WrestleMania match against Goldberg.

If everything worked out for WWE, then Reigns should most likely be Universal Champion right now. I’m guessing the plan is still to get the blue strap around his shoulders, which should mean once he returns, a match against “The Fiend” is a must!

They were reportedly planned to fight at WrestleMania 36, but WWE pulled the plug on Wyatt at Super ShowDown. While the two haven’t had any interactions on screen, reports and hearsay have been enough to build interest in a potential showdown between them. It is only a matter of when.

Hopefully, it will be safe enough for Reigns to return soon and when he does, he becomes the Champion he deserves to be.
