6 WWE Stars That Should Face Bobby Lashley For The WWE Championship

The Almighty era has finally begun as Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship from The Miz.

With Lashley as Champion, the Road to WrestleMania is still treacherous and unpredictable. Notably, the last few weeks have hectically changed what we theorized to happen at the Showcase of the Immortals. Therefore, there is plenty of time for continual changes to happen before the road ends for another year.

One thing that is for sure though, is that when Lashley made the A-Lister tap, he won over the hearts of many WWE fans. It is a long time coming and there are many people who would enjoy seeing Lashley have a dominant run past WrestleMania.

Here are ‘Six WWE Stars That Should Face Bobby Lashley For The WWE Championship’:

6. Drew McIntyre

First and foremost, Drew McIntyre is the most likely to face Bobby Lashley on the Grandest Stage of Them All.

It has been reported that his vicious rivalry with Sheamus will be culminating at WWE Fastlane. Eagerly, this means McIntyre’s schedule is open for ‘Mania 37.

With Lashley being on one of his best runs alongside the Hurt Business, and McIntyre desperate to get his title back, this storyline should be intense to the highest proportions.

Their Backlash encounter last year was pretty fun, so fighting on a larger stage should be even better.

However, if I had it my way, I’d set the match to happen at SummerSlam this year. Have Lashley power his way through the competition then, finally, McIntyre can triumph in front of fans.

5. AJ Styles

With Lashley on a face run as of sorts, AJ Styles would be the best challenger to prove his might.

Ultimately, Styles’ future plans in WWE are unknown. Plus, it is a mystery if he will get the chance to win the WWE Championship again.

On the other hand, he can put on a dramatic storyline with anyone he grapples with. Lashley vs. Styles is not a match we want but a match we need.

The counter-attacks these guys could pull off in a one-on-one bout would be unimaginable. Also, witnessing the strength of Lashley going head-to-shoulder with the towering Omos would be a sight to behold.

4. Mustafa Ali

The career of Mustafa Ali has been a dwindling one and it is sad to watch.

He joined the SmackDown roster in late 2018 and was a hot, upcoming babyface that shined with talent. He had gravity-defying matches with the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles.

Where did it all go wrong?

Was it when he suffered his grueling eye injury from Randy Orton which resulted in him being removed from the Elimination Chamber match that kickstarted KofiMania? Or perhaps it was when he was reportedly penciled to win the Money In The Bank contract before Brock Lesnar – who wasn’t even in the match – waltzed up the ladder and won the whole thing?

This then led to Ali falling into a pit of darkness and becoming the leader of Retribution. Who, with goofy names and many losses under their belts, aren’t the homerun faction WWE thought they would be.

Nevertheless, Ali has shown his worth on the main roster and definitely deserves to be coronated with the WWE Championship one day. Scrap the heel run and his lousy stable. Give him the heroic gimmick who impersonates Iron Man again. Then let him prove to the world that he is one of the most under-utilized guys on the roster by overcoming the odds and winning the title from the Almighty, Bobby Lashley.
