Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Zelina Vega – SmackDown Women’s Championship
Speaking of Rhea Ripley, she does have a title defence at Backlash too, but her retention is even more nailed-on than Belair’s.
Ripley only just won the title from Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania a month ago, there’s no reason for her to lose it so soon after that.
We also know that Zelina Vega is heading to SmackDown post-draft, which, given the situation with Belair (and SKY) also going to SmackDown, means it wouldn’t make any sense for Vega to win because then both titles would be on the same show again.
There’s a miniscule chance that WWE would want to give the Puerto Rican fans a big moment for a hometown hero, but that’ll be happening later anyway, as we’ll get to soon.
This is probably as predictable as a match at a WWE premium live event could ever be.
