WWE Backlash 2025 takes place on May 10 from St Louis, Missouri and marks the first premium live event since the two-night WrestleMania 41 shows.
The entire landscape of the company has completely changed coming out of the events of Mania in Las Vegas and will continue to shift with the latest major show.
The results of this event will set the direction for several different stars and championship gold moving forward depending on what will happen in St Louis.
Here are our previews and potential spoilers for the WWE Backlash 2025 results.
Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch – WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
After nearly a year away from the limelight, Becky Lynch made her triumphant return to replace Bayley as Lyra Valkyria’s tag team partner in a win over Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 41.
However, this reign and partnership was short lived when Liv and Raquel regained the titles on the WWE Raw After Mania and then Lynch proceeded to turn on Valkyria with a post match attack.
Becky later revealed that she was the one behind the mystery backstage attack on Bayley that took her out of Mania and her apparent jealousy over Lyra’s success.
This has set the stage for a showdown for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at WWE Backlash 2025.
Despite Valkyria being a fighting champion that has helped establish the newly introduced title, Becky feels like someone who could elevate the gold and bring a level of prestige that Lyra isn’t able to give it just yet due to her comparatively short time on the roster.
This should be a hard hitting, physical affair that sees Valkyria prove herself as the better wrestler before “The Man” has to use her veteran experience by stealing the victory from the jaws of defeat to capture some more championship gold.
A win would make Lynch the second ever holder of the Women’s Intercontinental Title after Valkyria became the inaugural champion in January.
Prediction: Becky Lynch
Betting favorite: Becky Lynch (Lynch 7/20 vs Valkyria 39/20)
