With Stone Cold Steve Austin making a few appearances related to 3:16 Day (March 16 of course), he has noted he’s open to appearing WWE WrestleMania 42.
While the icon was humble in his note that today’s talent deserved the time to shine, there are still plenty of intriguing things for Stone Cold to get up to in Las Vegas.
Here are six potential Stone Cold Steve Austin WWE WrestleMania 42 plans.
6. Co-Host with Danhausen

Since it has yet to be revealed what Danhausen could be getting up to at WrestleMania 42, perhaps the best use of the Very Nice, Very Evil star would be appearances throughout the weekend.
If both Danhausen and Stone Cold Steve Austin were to serve as concurrent hosts for WrestleMania 42, their coverage could be both hilarious and legendary.
With Stone Cold able to anchor down an on-screen position from one of the On Location suites with fans to throw back to the announce team, Danhausen on the other hand could spend most of the weekend trying to find Austin.
Setting him on a course of running into a variety of circumstances backstage (i.e. advertiser’s on-screen activations with WWE stars), the move towards adding a wink & nod to fans through Danhausen could be amazing.
5. Stone Cold Open Challenge

One way for Stone Cold Steve Austin to get involved with the fun at WrestleMania 42 would be to host his own open challenge.
Rather than a literal match however, the nature of the challenge could end up being any number of amusing party games.
Pitting some of NXT’s best and brightest against one another in some random challenges throughout the night could serve a dual purpose as not only advancing their reach on the main roster but also adding some frivolity.
Easily able to be partnered with the various event sponsors, challenges like a WingStop wing eating contest or even a Stone Cold Broken Skull IPA chugging contest — the possibilities are endless.
4. Answer Brock Lesnar’s Open Challenge

A fascinating piece of WWE history is that Brock Lesnar was in part an impetus to Stone Cold’s famed walk-out of the company in 2002.
After being pitched to lose to Lesnar on an episode of WWE Raw in a King of the Ring Qualifier bout, Austin’s frustrations with creative direction and growing burnout led him to walk out.
While the pair would have a run-in later before The Beast’s battle against Goldberg at WrestleMania XX by which Austin arguably opened a can of whoop ass on Brock Lesnar, there has still never been a singles bout.
Since it seems that retirement may be on the horizon for Brock Lesnar and reports that he doesn’t intend to lose until his final bout — perhaps a singles match against Austin by which The Beast wins adds some intrigue.
