The Biggest Party of the Summer is set to take place on August 5, and the card is shaping up to be a stacked one.
Not only are the matches set to be noteworthy, but there are a number of big surprises that could take place in Detroit.
Last year’s SummerSlam was Triple H’s first premium live event as the head of WWE creative, and featured a lot of big moments, including the returns of Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY.
This year, a lot more big moments could take place, and with Vince McMahon recently undergoing spinal surgery, the booking world could be Paul Levesque’s oyster at SummerSlam.
Here eight big surprises that Triple H could book for SummerSlam 2023 on August 5 at Ford Field in Detroit.
8. Randy Orton Returns
It’s been over a year since Randy Orton has appeared on WWE television, not wrestling since the May 20 episode of SmackDown, where he and Matt Riddle lost the Raw Tag Team Championship to the Usos.
Various reports about Orton’s status have emerged recently, and it seems he may be set to be on his way back soon.
A surprise appearance at SummerSlam would be welcomed, potentially as the next obstacle for Cody Rhodes following his victory over Brock Lesnar.
Although, there is another returning wrestler who could fill that void.
