Ten Matches We Need To See Following The WWE Draft

9. Seth Rollins vs. Big E

Big E has been doing some fantastic work as a babyface on SmackDown since Kofi Kingston’s injury, and now that his New Day stablemates have been drafted to Raw (a decision that still doesn’t make any sense), the former NXT Champion needs a big feud to thrust him into the main event scene.

A fitting storyline avenue to explore for Big E, coming out of his feud with Sheamus, could be against the new SmackDown Saviour and fellow former NXT Champion, Seth Rollins.

Like Nikki Cross and Asuka in the previous entry, Big E and Seth Rollins also have history, with the New Day defeating Seth Rollins to win the NXT Championship in 2013. This could certainly be something WWE looks at as a catalyst for the feud.

This feud would not only do wonders for Big E, but also Seth Rollins too. The former Universal Championship has been working with the Mysterio Family for a number of months now, and its time we saw the former “Monday Night Messiah” work with some of the other immensely talented people on WWE’s books.

 8. Sami Zayn vs. Rey Mysterio

Despite being at the tail end of his career, Rey Mysterio is still one of the best wrestlers on the planet right now. Putting him in the ring with Sami Zayn, who is another one of the best wrestlers around right now, is simply a no-brainer.

As noted in the previous entry with Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio has been feuding with the former Universal Champion for far too long now, so removing him from that feud and allowing him to have a series of great matches with Sami Zayn would be tremendous.

Sami Zayn was selected in the fourth round of the WWE Draft on Monday Night Raw, which says a lot about how the Intercontinental Championship is valued by those high up within WWE. Having a certified legend like Rey Mysterio compete for the title could be exactly what the belt (don’t tell Vince McMahon I called it that) needs to feel prestigious once again.

7. Asuka vs. Naomi

I told you we’d be speaking about Naomi later…

#NaomiDeservesBetter began trending on Twitter a few months ago after that infamous Kareoke ShowDown segment on SmackDown, and the fans who tweeted that are frankly correct, Naomi does deserve better.

Now that she is on Raw, and has teased joining The Hurt Business, we could be seeing a renewed push for the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, and a match against Asuka certainly isn’t out of the question.

There is no denying that Asuka is one of the best female wrestlers on WWE’s roster right now and Naomi is no slouch either, so a match-up between the two Raw stars on pay-per-view could be rather exciting.

Raw Women’s roster is stacked, with the likes of Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, Peyton Royce and Nikki Cross on the brand now. While these would all be exciting matches for Naomi, there are none that are more promising than a showdown with Asuka.
