5. Kenny Omega vs. PAC vs. Orange Cassidy in a Three-Way Match for the AEW World Championship – AEW Double Or Nothing 2021
AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 marked the first time since the global pandemic that the company invited a full capacity crowd at their home in Jacksonville, Daily’s Place (more on that later).
To many fans, the AEW World Championship Match was missing something in the buildup.
Whether due to how the match came together or the lack of PAC in the weeks leading up, Kenny Omega’s reign didn’t feel in danger against The Bastard and Orange Cassidy.
However, those memories were forgotten when the contest began.
This bout had a splendid layout that highlighted every competitor.
PAC was his typical amazing self with high flying brilliance, while Orange Cassidy playing a perfect underdog babyface. Omega played the desperate champion trying to survive with his title.
Both challengers had moments where the fans believed the title change would occur before Don Callis helped The Cleaner retain.
