Welcome, dear readers, to the first edition of WrestleTalk Presents Twitter-Piece Theatre. Here, we re-interpret some of the greatest tales and tragedies in wrestling history through the brilliant medium of idiot teenagers on Twitter. Surely, if brevity is the soul of wit, then their monosyllabic, 140-character tweets are the perfect way to capture it. The soul of wit that is… not brevity.

We start our humble series with one of the greatest of betrayals since Caesar’s trip to the Senate; an event that heralded in a new era by dumping petrol on the old one and lighting a match.

As the flames of jealousy and despair consumed one Vince McMahon, it drove him to plumb the depths of his morality. Then, commit an act of desperation so reviled, it gave birth to the “Mr. McMahon” character, the Attitude Era, and, in the end, the loss of our innocence.

Our gentle readers, let us now present Twitter-Piece Theatre: The Montreal Screwjob.
