At WrestleMania 41 Night Two, John Cena defeated Cody Rhodes to win the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event.

Now that Cena is a record breaking 17-time world champion, it looks like the WWE roster is jockeying for position to stop the legend’s quest to “ruin wrestling” and become Undisputed WWE Champion in the process.

From former champions, to up-and-coming talent looking for their first real opportunity, there are a variety of WWE stars who could possibly be next in line to hold the most prestigious prize in the company today.

Here are the next six potential Undisputed WWE Champions.

6. Cody Rhodes

Despite holding the Undisputed WWE Championship for over one year, Cody Rhodes felt like he had so much more he could accomplish when he lost the title to John Cena at WrestleMania 41.

At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Rhodes made his return to the company for the first time since Mania and immediately got his hands on Cena.

The company will of course be looking to schedule a Mania rematch between Cody and Cena in the weeks and months to come.

When this return bout takes place, we could see The American Nightmare regaining the gold to once again become the standard bearer and top babyface of the promotion like he did so proudly before.
