Who Should Challenge For Every Main Roster Title Following TLC?

Who Should Challenge For Every Main Roster Title Following TLC?

Following the must-watch TLC show last night, we are now set for the Royal Rumble. With feuds such as Sasha Banks versus Carmella, Kevin Owens versus Roman Reigns, and Drew McIntyre versus AJ Styles likely ending last night, who shall be the next challengers? Some suggestions on this list are matches already being set up, whereas others are my optimistic mind hoping for the best.

10. United States Championship – Riddle

Current Champion – Bobby Lashley

According to reports, Riddle is the man to take on Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble next month. This has been evident over the past few weeks on RAW with Riddle having encounters with The Hurt Business. While his character has become more silly and child-like, Riddle is still massively entertaining and plays the role perfectly. Unlike other wrestlers, he is still being portrayed as one of the best within the ring, despite the ‘dopey’ gimmick.

Lashley versus Riddle could seriously be a great match. Both have an MMA background, and Riddle could play the underdog perfectly against the dominant, Lashley. Who wins? I don’t know… but a Riddle US Title run could keep him on the card for TV and pay-per-views, particularly, WrestleMania.

9. Intercontinental Championship – Big E

Current Champion – Sami Zayn

Similar to the last entry, Big E versus Sami Zayn is already being set up on TV. The hilarious Sami Awards segment on the most recent SmackDown made it clear that Big E is the next challenger. This is a brilliant decision by WWE, with Big E in desperate need of something to do since his split from the New Day.

While I would controversially have Zayn win the feud by cheating means, this could lead to a possible Roman Reigns versus Big E feud heading towards Mania. Sami is one of the best things on WWE television, and I want to see him hold the title for so much longer. The dream would be heel Zayn vs face Owens at the ‘Grandest Stage of them All’, but that’s fantasy booking.

Big E will be challenging Zayn for the title on the Christmas edition of SmackDown. Whether they continue the feud afterward remains to be seen.

8. 24/7 Championship – Who Cares?

Current Champion – R-Truth

After every pay-per-view ends, I hope the 24/7 Championship will end with it. What was once a funny, inventive, and fresh idea, the title has become a toilet break for WWE television. R-Truth holding the title for so long is completely contradicting the point of the belt. People running for Truth every show is not any of the things I described the idea as originally being.

However, for the point of this list, I will give the name of a possible challenger. Let’s say… Jillian Hall, why not? Jillian Hall versus R-Truth for the 24/7 Championship, book it WWE.
