Who Should Challenge For Every WWE Main Roster Title Following WrestleMania

6. SmackDown Tag Team Championship – Rey and Dominik Mysterio

The Dirty Dawgs retaining the championship on SmackDown was a result not many expected. With three teams all deserving of becoming the new faces of the tag division, it came as a disappointment.

The Alpha Academy have had a fun run and the Street Profits have solidified themselves as one of the best tag teams in WWE currently. However, the team with the most to offer is the Mysterios.

With Dominik improving every week, the story of father and son winning a title together would be great. Rey is one of the greatest of all time and has already helped his son so much since his debut at SummerSlam.

While Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode are two tremendous talents, their team isn’t clicking. A silly name and the only reason for the pairing being they’re both flamboyant characters, a long title reign doesn’t sound too intriguing.

5. Women’s Tag Team Championship – IIconics

Female tag teams on the main roster are very minimal. Naomi and Lana or Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke are two teams that mean nothing. The Riott Squad has no momentum and Natalya & Tamina lost a title match at ‘Mania.

WWE is desperately in need of a team that actually means something and have a real connection… insert the IIconics.

There were many awful decisions in WWE in 2020, and splitting the IIconics was certainly up there with the worst. Neither woman, Peyton Royce in particular, went on to do anything despite the break-up.

They were one of the only women teams left and they had to split them. Nevertheless, WWE is desperate for a shakeup and moving one of these two to the other brand would be perfect.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler have had a long enough title reign and anything to do with the IIconics is gold.

4. Raw Women’s Championship – Naomi

Poor Asuka.

One of the worst title reigns in recent memory ending in her being handily defeated by Rhea Ripley. It’s devastating but the feud seems comfortably over with Ripley about to be on the biggest run yet.

There are not many NXT stars who got pushed to the top as fast as Ripley, but she’s done it. One of the best in-ring wrestlers in the whole company and she’s only 24 years old. She needs a great run taking on every competitor possible.

Every weakness of Asuka’s run needs to be changed and worked on. With the lack of women worthy of title shots on the roster, Naomi could be a great challenger.

Both exciting talents and a way for Ripley to gain her first successful title defence.

Note: Following developments on Raw, it looks like Ripley’s next defence will be a three-way against Asuka and Charlotte Flair.
