WOS Wrestling Episode Three Preview

WOS Wrestling Episode Three Preview

Three weeks in and I still can’t get used to the fact that wrestling is back on British TV. The third episode of WOS (World of Sport) Wrestling will air tonight at 5pm (UK time) on ITV and fans of the show are in for a treat.

One confirmed match for tonight’s show is the ‘Prestigious One’ Joe Hendry vs Martin Kirby, following  their tag team split on the first episode of the show.

The latter walked out on Hendry during their WOS Tag Team Championship Tournament Match with Kip Sabian and Iestyn Rees. Hendry accidentally knocked Kirby off the apron during the match, leading to him abandoning his partner and costing his the team the win.

Joe Hendry was involved in a high-profile match on last week’s show, when he took on the new WOS Champion, Rampage, but lost due to interference from Shah Samuels and CJ Banks.

Something else that WOS fans can look forward to on tonight’s show is Gabriel Kidd receiving the “big opportunity” that he won last week.

Kidd defeated Liam Slater, Lionheart, and Robbie X in a Ladder Match on the second episode to earn what General Manager Stu Bennett described as “a big opportunity”. The main theory amongst fans is that Kidd has “won” an opportunity to face Crater, an enormous masked wrestler who debuted on the first episode of the show. Bad luck, Kidd.

We’ll also have the follow up to Kay Lee Ray becoming the first ever WOS Women’s Champion last week, as well as another match in the tag team title tournament and the continuation of Rampage’s so-called “reign of terror” with the WOS World Championship, even though he’s only defended the belt once so far.

WOS proved itself to be a nice little show in its first two episodes and can now build on that good work in its remaining episodes. Characters, storylines, and feuds have all been established now, and wrestling has proven it belongs on British prime-time television.

Will you be watching WOS Episode Three tonight? What do you think we’ll see on the show? How quickly do you think Gabriel Kidd will be crushed by Crater? Let us know on Twitter and Discord today.
