1. Jon Moxley
Fact: Jon Moxley, formerly WWE’s Dean Ambrose, has left the WWE and is taking independent wrestling bookings.
Rumor: Jon Moxley will debut for AEW at their Double or Nothing Event on May 25th. This rumor was fueled by Jake Hager in his post Bellator fight this week.
Opinion: Given WWE’s history of not allowing its performers to walk out without a non-compete clause, it would be strange for them to let Moxley wrestle at Double or Nothing. Double or Nothing is within 90 days of Ambrose/Moxley’s last day in WWE and I just can’t see Moxley showing up this soon in AEW. However,
WWE definitely handled Moxley’s departure differently than others. It’s not out of the realm of possibility we could see Moxley in some capacity at the pay-per-view. Possibly, a post-match appearance to challenge Darby Allin or Jimmy Havoc. We know he wants to do a deathmatch of some sort.
