There have been even more WWE departures that have emerged over the past couple of days after what has already been a notable year of releases.
Here are the 17 WWE main roster stars who have been let go by the company so far in 2025.
We wish them all the best in whatever the future holds.
17. R-Truth
One of the most surprising departures of all came in the form of R-Truth, who had been with WWE since 2008 in his second tenure – his first being back in 1999 to 2001 under the name K-Kwik.
Truth, who was informed the company wouldn’t be renewing his contract, had just been featured as part of John Cena’s retirement tour, getting involved in Cena vs Randy Orton at Backlash, then facing Cena himself at Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC.
His departure was announced just a day after he had a match against JC Mateo (Jeff Cobb) on SmackDown.
There has been universal praise for R-Truth not just from fans but from WWE talent, who are very disappointed about the news of his exit.
