After this past Friday’s episode of SmackDown, we now know for sure that former AEW star Rey Fenix will be making his WWE debut soon.
Joining his brother Penta who debuted in January, Fenix is expected to appear imminently, although there are still no exact official details as to what his debut will entail at this time.
Here are five potential WWE debut plans for Rey Fenix.
5. Not Teaming Up With Penta
While the original plan months ago was for both Penta and Fenix to come into WWE at the same time as the Lucha Brothers tag team, Penta has worked so well as an individual since debuting that it would be a bit of a shame to interrupt that momentum.
It isn’t a certainty, but WWE does appear to be going with Fenix debuting separately was Penta, as his teaser video on SmackDown, while Penta is on Raw.
With the recent debuts of Penta and the Motor City Machine Guns, their teaser videos only aired on the show they were actually going to be part of, so it seems safe to assume at this point that Fenix is SmackDown-bound.
As noted, it’s probably a good decision not to mess with Penta’s momentum right now, and they can always be reunited somewhere down the line, which in itself could be built up into feeling like a big deal.
