With the likes of the Motor City Machine Guns, the returning War Raiders, and even the Lucha Bros eventually, WWE has made significant attempts
However, there are also a number of stars currently in the singles division that could be brought together for the good of themselves and also the tag division as a whole.
Here are six potential new WWE tag teams that could be formed.
6. AJ Styles & Shinsuke Nakamura
AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura are both in the latter part of their in-ring careers, and it would be pretty cool to see them get a run as a babyface tag team together.
We all know they both have a history in Japan, and it would be nice to play into that – WWE is clearly well aware of it as they’ve both had matches in Pro Wrestling NOAH in the past couple of years.
Nakamura is likely in a similar position to when Styles returned recently – he was a heel, but people have missed him for so long that he’s gonna get cheered when he gets back.
They had a rivalry over the WWE Championship in 2018, but seeing them doing their thing and potentially even going out on the same page would be special.
