Recent weeks on WWE NXT have seen the debut of Blake Monroe.
Long rumored, former AEW star Mariah May has now officially signed with WWE — and she’s immediately been pushed into title contention against NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne.
As WWE continues to replenish NXT with new stars while others move up to the main roster, Monroe certainly won’t be the last new arrival.
Here are six wrestlers who could be next to officially sign with WWE NXT.
6. Mr. Iguana
One of the more surprising stories this year has been the degree to which AAA performer Mr. Iguana has connected with WWE fans.
Appearing in the opening trios match at the crossover WWE & AAA Worlds Collide show, the luchador quickly captured attention with his unique character and moveset – which creatively incorporates a stuffed iguana toy.
WWE capitalised on the buzz, airing a video package on Raw and featuring him again on NXT.
With WWE acquiring AAA, it seems that Mr. Iguana won’t just be used in the Mexican promotion – according to the man himself, he’s close to signing with WWE officially and may soon make a full-time debut via NXT.
