Last month saw Ricochet become the latest name to jump from WWE to AEW, with the former United States and Intercontinental Champion getting off to a promising start in his new home.
Despite some misses along the way many stars that have made the move from WWE to AEW have also went on to great success, and there are several on WWE’s current roster who may contemplate making the jump.
Here are six WWE stars to potentially sign with AEW.
6. Dragon Lee
After an exciting debut year on WWE NXT, Raw’s Dragon Lee arrived to the main roster with much promise but has thus far failed to reach heights anywhere near was hoped during his time on the gold brand.
Despite hefty endorsement from Rey Mysterio, Lee has been stuck in the Hall of Famer’s shadow in the LWO and has had little of note to do as a part of the group.
According to Fightful, Dragon Lee’s WWE contract runs through 2025, so there is time for a turnaround. However, if things remain on the course they’re on it’s easy to see a reality where he opts not to re-sign and instead joins his brothers RUSH and Dralistico in AEW.
Although with neither of his brothers on AEW TV much either it could be argued whether that would in fact be a wise move either.
