The WWE “Ruthless Aggression” era spanned from 2002 to 2008 and created plenty of different stars throughout.
At WWE Backlash 2025, two of the top stars of that era, John Cena and Randy Orton did battle in the main event for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
With those two long time headliners still standing at the top of WWE, there is plenty of other talent that dominated that era who could make a comeback to the promotion in the weeks and months to come.
Here are seven WWE “Ruthless Aggression” stars to potentially return to the company.
7. Mickie James
Making her return to the company’s programming, Mickie James has become a coach on the “WWE LFG: Legends and Future Greats” show on A&E.
James recently made her in-ring return, competing against Maki Itoh at the Wrestlecon Supershow during WrestleMania 41 weekend in Las Vegas.
With Mickie getting back into the squared circle, WWE should consider bring her back into the fold as an in-ring competitor.
The six-time WWE Women’s Champion could offer plenty of experience and star power to the current women’s division.
