8 WWE & AEW Stars To Face Each Other In Joint Show

8 WWE & AEW Stars To Face Each Other In Joint Show WWE, AEW

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland said in a recent interview that a WWE & AEW collaboration is “more likely than it’s ever been”, and it’s hard to disagree.

After decades of being closed off from collaborating or even acknowledging other wrestling companies, WWE is finally opening itself up and has been playing with the likes of TNA, GCW and AJPW already this year.

Unlike WWE, AEW has always been seemingly open to work with other companies with strong bonds formed with the likes of NJPW and CMLL.

Now, I know it seems preposterous that it would happen, but as Strickland noted it’s gone from a 0.04% to a 2.4% chance and that’s better odds than there’s ever been before.

Now, this list could be at least 15 entires long so expect some of the biggest stars to miss out sadly, but with that said let’s take a look at eight WWE and AEW stars to face off in a future collaborative event.

8. Cody Rhodes Vs. Swerve Strickland

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland

Considering Strickland’s comments inspired this list, it seems only fair to begin things with him.

When picking out potential opponents for Strickland it was a tough call between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, both of whom would no doubt put on a banger with the AEW World Champion.

However, considering Swerve is the champ and current face of the company it seems only right that he’d face off with WWE’s face – The American Nightmare.

Given Rhodes’ past in AEW there is honestly way more tantalising stories to be told than he and Swerve, with MJF, Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada are just a few that spring to mind.

But realistically if WWE and AEW were actually doing a joint show there’s no way the two companies couldn’t have their two top dogs face off.
