WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 takes place at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday, June 15, which is right around the corner.
The show will kick off at 7pm UK time, which makes it 2pm ET over in the US.
With five matches currently announced, here’s a preview of the card and the most likely winners for each of them, with betting odds to back up the predictions.
Betting odds listed are via SkyBet and correct as of 9pm UK time on Thursday, June 13.
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. AJ Styles – Undisputed WWE Championship ‘I Quit’ Match
In a rematch from Backlash, Cody Rhodes defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles – but this time, it’s an ‘I Quit’ match.
While it would be easy to say Rhodes is the likely winner here, a title change is not out of the question at all.
Styles winning would be a way to extend the feud to a third match, delaying the need to someone else to step up to Rhodes immediately, with a lack of viable challengers right now being the reason Styles has this rematch to begin with.
With the ‘I Quit’ stipulation, a babyface (good guy) should never be a quitter, especially not one on the level of Cody Rhodes, but there is one major caveat to that.
The only scenario in which a babyface should quit is to save someone they care about, and guess what – Cody’s mother has made the trip to Scotland with him.
If Styles’ cohorts in The OC get hold of her and she’s in danger, that is when Rhodes may quit and it’s a way for Styles to win the title to extend their feud to a trilogy.
To be safe, the prediction here is Rhodes, but don’t be at all surprised if it plays out as outlined above – the gap in the odds shouldn’t be as big as it is.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes
Betting favorite: Cody Rhodes (Rhodes 1/10 vs. Styles 9/2)
