We’ve heard Oli, Luke, and Laurie’s predictions for the women’s only pay per view, Evolution, but what about the WrestleTalk writers? Eric Stites and JP Wood break down the Evolution card and give their predictions.
While WWE has put very little promotion into the event, many of us are still excited about Evolution. Looking over the card, the Battle Royal sticks out like a sore thumb as almost a slap in the face to its own performers. That said, I’m sure the women in the ring will make it worth the watch.
Credit goes to WWE for not forgetting any of its women’s titles (with the possible exception of a still questionable UK Women’s title appearance). The Raw, SmackDown, and NXT Women’s Championships are all being defended, and a Mae Young Classic 2018 winner is going to be crowned.
Sure there are some downsides: Alexa Bliss is, unfortunately, out of the match with concussion symptoms to be replaced by the bat-guano-crazy Alicia Fox. There’s no sign of new tag team titles, despite the heaping helping of foreshadowing, and we’re bound to be subjected to Stephanie McMahon’s entrance music at least once.
If WWE has tried even a tiny little bit, mixed bag though it may be, Evolution should be an entertaining way to spend a Sunday night.
