With John Cena continuing his WWE farewell tour on Saturday Night’s Main Event against R-Truth, his days are very much numbered.
The final match for John Cena is set to occur in Boston in December, reportedly at a future edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event – giving a massive audience to whoever is set to face the retiring legend.
Here are six possible final WWE opponents for John Cena.
6. Cody Rhodes
While their build to WrestleMania 41 was intriguing, the match finish between John Cena and Cody Rhodes left some fans looking for more answers.
After Cena defeated Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41, Rhodes disappeared from WWE TV.
While seemingly poised to make a return ahead of or at the upcoming WWE Money in the Bank PLE on June 7, there is still a lot of ground to cover ahead of Cena’s expected last match in December.
It is unlikely that Cena and Cody are done for good, so we could potentially see the slow burn of this dynamic all the way until the very end of the farewell tour to pay off.
