On the November 10 edition of WWE Raw, John Cena defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new Intercontinental Champion.
Now that he is a Grand Slam Champion, Cena could defend this newly won gold in any of his three remaining dates on this retirement tour.
Whether it be his final Raw appearance, WWE Survivor Series or his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Cena could be dethroned by any number of stars from any brand in the company.
Looking at the possible challengers in the Last Time Is Now Tournament and beyond, here are seven potential WWE replacements for John Cena.
7. Dominik Mysterio

Since winning the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41, Dominik Mysterio has been on one of the hottest streaks of any star on the WWE roster.
Becoming a double champion after capturing the AAA Mega Championship, Mysterio was gaining so much confidence and felt nearly invincible.
However, Mysterio’s cockiness led to him disrespecting John Cena and eventually losing the I.C. Title on the November 10 episode of Monday Night Raw.
Not one to rest on his laurels and let this loss stand, “Dirty Dom” could be just the competitor to figure out a way to dethrone Cena and walk out a two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion.
