After being selected as a first round pick in the 2024 WWE Draft, Carmelo Hayes was pegged for success on the SmackDown brand.
However, Hayes never quite received a significant push that saw him being featured as a prominent figure on SmackDown.
On the April 18 pre-WrestleMania SmackDown, Melo picked up the biggest victory of his WWE main roster run when he won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Using that momentum, Hayes could follow that up by winning the WWE King of the Ring 2025 tournament and find himself in the main event scene before long.
