WWE Legends To Join AEW

WWE Legends To Join AEW WWE/AEW

While Tony Khan has snapped up a lot of WWE legends for AEW over the years, there are still some big names that he could potentially benefit from courting.

From those who have already appeared for AEW to others that could bring seismic shifts in the company should they sign on, several legends still have a lot left to accomplish in their careers.

Here are five more WWE legends who could join AEW.

5. Rob Van Dam

Still a fan favorite, Rob Van Dam continues to entertain crowds at wrestling conventions and appearances.

However, having already made numerous appearances for AEW – including wrestling in six matches in the company – it would make complete sense to see RVD join AEW in the future.

While wrestling less frequently over the past year, perhaps Rob Van Dam would find another suitable role on-screen in AEW.

Always making a fun impact when he is on-screen, RVD could serve as a great manager for a very chill tag team or could perhaps even be the hype man for a singles star.

4. AJ Styles

AJ Styles has previously commented that he plans to retire from in-ring competition when he is 50 – about two years from now.

Although, perhaps there could be a compelling reason for him to join AEW before hanging up his boots entirely.

With his long history in professional wrestling spanning most major companies, a short stay in AEW might make sense for Styles in the future to add another to the list, but also to cement the end to his career on his own terms, similar to the retirement runs of Sting and Bryan Danielson.

It is worth noting that AJ Styles remains under contract with WWE at present, but given the wild world of professional wrestling, if he were to become a free agent in the future, AEW would be wise to bring him in.
