Greatest Royal Rumble
WWE Intercontinental Championship – Ladder Match
Seth Rollins (c) vs. The Miz vs. Finn Bálor vs. Samoa Joe
Less than a month ago at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, we witnessed possibly the greatest ladder match in not just WWE history but wrestling history as a whole. This was not that. Fortunately, not being the best does not mean it was bad by any means. The match itself was a fiercely competitive fatal four-way that just happened to involve ladders and further solidified the star-power of all involved… as if they needed it.
Despite being slightly telegraphed due to the outcome of the United States Championship match earlier in the night, it was still one of the best matches at the Greatest Royal Rumble and furthered the storylines going in. Miz looked surprisingly valiant working through pain. Joe looked like a monster dismantling his foes with the ladders. Bálor looked like a deserving champion, only second to Seth who pulled the win out of nowhere.
