The era of WWE NXT showcasing only inexperienced wrestlers appears to be over.
There has been a noticeable reversion to the “super indie” status of NXT, reminiscent of the brand’s black and gold era.
Here are five potential changes building upon the noticeably improved product.
5. Bayley Returns Full-Time
Returning to NXT television in January, Bayley received a welcome befitting her storied history with WWE’s third brand.
However, after failing to win the NXT Women’s Championship in a four-way match at the Vengeance Day PLE in February, she returned directly to the main roster.
This short-lived run left many potential dream matches on the table – bouts against current champion Stephenie Vaquer, Jordynne Grace and a one-on-one against Giulia.
NXT currently boasts an incredibly strong women’s roster, but it is one that could be further elevated by one of the legendary Horsewomen who brought the promotion to prominence.
