WWE Raw Preview, October 15 2018

Well now, Raw has been pretty good over the past few weeks hasn’t it? With all this Shield tension and more heel turns than you can shake a stick at, for the first time in a long time, I look forward to watching it.

As mentioned, this is largely thanks to the Dean Ambrose teased heel turn.

Perfect booking is not something you would generally associate with WWE, but they really have struck gold with this one.

Dean is playing the conflicted character perfectly, and it seems just a matter of time before the heel turn takes place.

But will it? What if this is all just a cover for another Shield member turning? Seth Rollins has previous experience, and a Roman Reigns heel turn would be one of the best things to happen in WWE since forever.

If Roman were to turn, I wouldn’t bet on it happening before he takes on Brock and Braun at Crown Jewel. You can’t have three huge heels squaring off, at least in WWE you can’t, I for one would love to see that dynamic play out.

Dean finds himself booked in a WWE World Cup qualifier tonight against Dolph Ziggler, while Seth faces Drew McIntyre, once again in a qualifying match.

These two will undoubtedly be great matches, but it’ll be Dean that I’ll be watching most closely. What if the Shield try to help by interfering but instead cost him the match? Tensions will rise!

Brothers grim

Last week, DX returned to cut a “we’re back” promo to set up their tag match with the Brothers of Destruction at Crown Jewel.

So, will the brothers respond this week? Well judging by the fact that the WWE website asks the same question, I think we can assume that they will.

This match is destined to be very much the same as the Super Show-Down match between Triple H and Undertaker; a spectacle with some pretty mediocre wrestling.

The combined ages of all the men in the ring is over 200, so it’s not surprising that they’re not exactly spring chickens.

Oh well, I guess we can prepare for plenty of spooky stuff tonight, with fire and lightning and whatever else is in the budget.

Ronda responds

I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been attacked by a friend, but maybe that’s because I’m not a wrestler.

The latest friendship to fall to the WWE curse was Ronda and the Bella twins, with Brie and Nikki blind-siding the Women’s Champion last week.

Ronda is set to respond to the pair of them tonight, and will probably promise Nikki that she will “pull your arm out of its socket,” as is her tendency

The rest

  • The new and improved Bobby Lashley
  • AOP will attack another tag team, flanked by Drake Maverick
