On the June 9 edition of Monday Night Raw, GUNTHER defeated Jey Uso to regain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
With Jey losing the title after capturing the gold at WrestleMania 41, it feels like time for him to move down the card and make way for a new challenger to face “The Ring General.”
Looking at the Raw roster and stars who could be making their way back to the show, there are a litany of talent that could step up in the place of Jey to contend for the top prize on the brand.
Here are eight potential WWE replacements for Jey Uso.
8. Goldberg
At WWE Bad Blood 2024, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg got into a heated confrontation with GUNTHER that many fans saw as the start of the build for a potential in-ring encounter.
Immediately following this combustable interaction, Goldberg made it known that he was training for his in-ring return to compete in his retirement match.
With recent reports indicating that this bout will take place in the legend’s hometown of Atlanta at the upcoming July 12 Saturday Night’s Main Event, Goldberg looks to be the next challenger for GUNTHER.
Making this retirement match for the World Heavyweight Title, Goldberg’s final match will have even higher stakes than imagined – making for a true marquee match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
